what is a renaissance man?

Nothing wrong with being a dabbler!

Much like the followers of this platform, a renaissance-man (person!) is asked to know a little about a lot. Stick around long enough and maybe you, too, can gain this title.

Merriam Webster dictionary defines a renaissance-man as someone “who has wide interests and is expert in several areas.” Amid the Italian Renaissance with values in personal development, knowledge, and educational growth, we saw the birth of this term. As the concept of this persona gained traction we really only saw it among the male population in society, also calling for there to be an equally important physical and social aspect that “qualifies” one as a renaissance man.

Leonardo Da Vinci is perhaps considered the “ultimate renaissance man.” We also get to see this kind of person in modern day; think Donald Glover - actor, musician, comedian, writer, and I might take a wild guess and say that he covers the potentially necessary social aspect as well.
